Its optical system consists of Lamp, Heat-absorption filter, Lens and Diaphragm. The light traverses through this machine and falls on the current generating photo-cell which actuates direct reading on a micro-ampere meter (of AE-11A) or LED display (of AE-11B).

The PT-3000 series microprocessor controlled
photometers are general-purpose instruments designed for simple operation with
durable function and permit seedy accurate measurement in various fields. The
instrument has a large LCD digital display, easy-to-use, and high electric
stability. The PT-3000 series feature an overall
wavelength range of 400 nm to 900 nm, Transmittance/Absorbance test mode,
automatic blanking, a large LCD digital display. You can use the PT-3000 series for spectrophotometric experiments in the visible
wavelength region of the electromagnetic spectrum and the operation of instrument
as simple as 1...2...3...4.
